OTHER ART NEWS OF NOTE

Letter Arts Review (Vol. 36.3, Winter 2022)

Features 8 pages of my artist's books, including great close-up photos of the work and an essay I wrote detailing my inspiration and process in creating them, as part of the article, "The Page Unleashed." It includes contributions by other artists of note as well, including favorites Louise Grunewald, Jane Ewing and Annie Cicale, devoting 40 pages to what makes book artists tick. Highly recommended (and well worth purchasing a copy or subscribing to this high gloss, eye-popping color art journal). For single issue purchases (or subscriptions), contact Sea-Hill Press at info@LetterArtsReview.org or 877-397-0005.

Alphabet Journal (Vol.48.2, Winter 2022)

Features one of my pieces from the Kalligraphia XVI exhibit of the Friends of Calligraphy at the San Francisco Public Library (Summer 2022). If you missed the inspiring exhibit, this article offers 20 pages of detailed color shots of a great selection of the mixed media work in the show. The journal is published 4 times per year (edited by Carl Rohrs), and well worth the membership dues (which includes access to many other benefits). http://www.friendsofcalligraphy.org. or contact Meredith Klein for membership info at gkle@sbcglobal.net.

Claudia Chapline Essay ("An Undefinable Original")

An essay I wrote in tribute to much beloved & wildly creative West Marin gallery owner, artist, poet and friend Claudia Chapline. Featured in Frogpond (Vol. 45.3, 2022), the print journal of the Haiku Society of America. Essay includes a small selection of Claudia's haiku.

Art & Ekphrastic Poetry Essay

Features Renée's art and her ekphrastic poetry, in an essay she was invited to write for Contemporary Haibun Online's April 2022 issue

Art Exhibition Video Walk-Through
